Bilingualism

The major benefit is that a bilingual person can have an interesting social life by being able to converse with a variety of individuals of two different cultures. They can appreciate two  world views. There are also economic advantages for bilinguals, because there is an increasing demand for them in the new global economy.
in these times is too necessary to have another language because we are in a globalized world where knowing another language opens the doors for any project or dream, being bilingual is a plus that makes you able to meet diversity of cultures
when we can break the language barriers we can be more aware of our surroundings,
  for me to learn a second language besides my native language is an advantage over the rest because I guarantee that I will have better job prospects

There are many people that wish  could speak another language but do not feel able to do, so choose not to take risks and sometimes by the same decision miss opportunities to improve their quality of life.
